How can I get better translations? |
The Google Translate™ service seems to be the best automated,
free service available at the present time but it
still make lots of mistakes. Even with mistakes, it helps a language learner because they can try to read interesting, new information. |
Why isn't my favorite site working? |
Some sites break Google Translate™, but there are other possible reasons, including bugs in MeFluent. Please take these steps:
*) Does MeFluent work for you for any site? Make sure you've chosen the appropriate native language and target language in the MeFluent options panel (Tools > Add-ons, then select MeFluent, then click Options). Next, use Google Translate™ on an appropriate foreign-language site. An easy way to test is to just click on one of those listed as popular for your foreign language.
*) If some sites work, but one does not, it may be that the site is "broken" for Google Translate™. Please try Google Translate™ on that site in a different browser (e.g., Safari, Chrome, Internet Explorer) to see if your site works without any effect from MeFluent.
*) After taking these steps, please post a message about the site in the forum, about either a problem for the site in Google Translate™ or a problem with MeFluent. We'll assemble a list of sites that are "broken" for Google Translate™, some of which is reflected on the popular list. |
I see multiple "header" panels from Google like this:

This appears to be an issue with the browser-history with framed pages. There are several alternatives:
- erase browsing history, or
- click 'Back to Translate' and type in the website address, or
- break out of frames using the context menu, as shown in the picture below. Use the right mouse button (clicking somewhere on the bottom frame), and select "This Frame > Show Only This Frame", as shown in the image below.
